Inca religion had no name but it known that their creator was Virococha, the creator god. The Incas believed in Inti, the sun god, apu llapu, the rain god and Virococha. They then believed in three worlds, an underground world of the ancestors, a celestial world of gods and, an earthly world where people live. The leaders were related to the god. The first emperor of Inca was Manco Capac. The Incas believed in him and thought he was the son of Inti, the sun god. The ruler married his sister because then the royalty would be pure. This was what the inca believed in.

The Incas also sacrificed to keep up their rituals. Every day the priest would sacrifice animals, usually llamas, to the sun god. On the first day of lunar month, they would sacrifice 100 pure white llamas. On great need like famine they would sacrifice 200 children and sacrificed guinea pigs, llamas and coca beans. Before sacrificing the children were fed up so they couldn't come in front of god hungry. They also sacrificed ponches of excellent weaver miniature vestments were thrown into the fire in offering These sacrifices were carried out on special occasion like for the new ruler. The priests were the one who carried out sacrificing, maintained the temples and were usually the relative of the royal. The priest treated sick in curing ceremonies. This was how sacrifice  would lead.

The Incas carried out ceremonies too. One of the annual events was Inti Raymi which is held in June when the sun is at the notherly point. The second one is called Capac Raymi held in December when the sun is at its most southerly point. Both of them included dancing, feasts, games, songs, and parades. The Inca society had their own burying styles. Important people like royals and priests were buried in stone chamber above ground. The common people were buried in pits, caves, or other kinds of graves.

In conclusion, the inca believed in their king as the son of Inti, the sun god. The priest also had some power of Inti too. They had many ceremonies where they would sacrifice, play games and dance. They sacrificed animals everyday so that they would make the sun god happy. In days of famine or disease they would sacrifice 200 llamas. This was what they would do to keep up their religion and this was how important religion was to them.
